The Life of Me.....

I have been tagged by Amber! Today in my blog I will type about 10 facts about me. They could be weird, random, habits of mine, or goals that I have. Then at the end I'll choose 5 other people to tag to continue this on. I will comment on their blog letting them know they have been tagged saying "Tag...You're It!" and let them know to read my blog. But you can't tag the person that tagged you. So let's get this started....
1. I am fascinated by natural disasters especially tornadoes. I love watching shows and movies about them. But I've never actually seen a tornado in real life though. Sometimes I want to....as long as I'm not in danger.
2. I love the smell of something burning....especially wood. Just the other day my husband and I were on the road and I could smell something burning. Not much further down the road...there was some wood burning of old trees in a pile. I also like the smell of crayons!!!
3. The first concert I ever went to was Billy Ray Cyrus. My best friend and I loved him! We really liked his song, "Achy, Breaky Heart." Now when I hear that I cringe....I think his songs are awful now!! I have only went to 2 other concerts and both were the Backstreet Boys.
4. I have 5 dogs: Molly the golden retriever, Buddy the pit bull, Tazar and Zoey the Italian mastiffs, and Rudy the mutt (we believe he's a mix between a chow, German Shepherd and something else). I also have 2 hermit crabs (they aren't named) and 4 fish (they also aren't named).
5. My husband and I have the same initials. Our first and middle names are almost identical. I was born on a Thursday and he was born on a Friday. I was born at 5:25 p.m. eastern time and he was born on 5:26 p.m. mountain time. We have known each other since the 2nd grade!
6. I LOVE to read!!!! I have probably close to a thousand books. I read at least one book a week just about. My favorite authors right now are Lori Wick and Karen Kingsbury. They are both Christian Fiction authors. I will read just about anything though...as long as it sounds good!
7. I want to visit every state in the United States for a month or so (depending on how much stuff there is to do in each state) before I die. So far I've visited to NC (of course since that's where I've lived my whole life!), SC, FL, VA, Washington, DC, WV, PA, NY, IN, IL, KY, TN, MO, TX, OK, CO, NM, AZ, UT and NV. Most of these states we only did a couple of things while we were there so there's plenty more to do in each state except NC since I think I've done just about everything here.
8. I am afraid of ants. I know you are probably wondering why ants? The reason is that one time my mama was about to iron a shirt or something one morning before I went to school and she turned on the iron and all of these ants started coming out of it! I know there were like a million ants in that iron. The weirdest thing is that she had just used the iron the night before. Also, one time I had this black purse and I had left a sucker in there and forgot about it. One day I looked over at the purse hanging on the door handle and the zipper on the purse was moving because there were so many ants on there. So that's why I'm somewhat afraid of ants...well I guess I'm not afraid of them but I hate them with a passion! Oh yeah...if you ever kill an ant with your finger and you smell your finger afterwards it always smells like bug spray....I don't know why.
9. My husband and I have already picked out our kids names and we haven't even started trying yet. We actually picked the names out before we even got married. We both want 3 kids. So we picked 3 boy names and 3 girl names.
10. I love COLOR! Even the apartment my husband and I live in we chose different colors for every room. Our kitchen is a pale orange, living room is a pale yellow, bedroom is pale blue, master bathroom is a darker blue, office/spare bedroom is pale green and the guest bathroom is pink!
Now...the people I choose to tag is: Whitney, Jen, Rebecca, Liz, and Tracy. Let me know when ya'll post so I can read what you put!
This past Wednesday I went shopping with my husband, my mama and brother. We went to Durham which is about an hour from where we live. We went to one of the malls there called Streets of South Point. I ended up getting some cute tops and some flip flops from Abercrombie & Fitch. Below are pictures of them from the Abercrombie & Fitch website:

I can't wait to wear them!!! It's hard to see in the pics but the straps are crisscrossed in the back of the tops and they are dark blue. I thought the flip flops would look good with both tops. I'll probably wear white or dark blue shorts or capris with the tank tops. The flip flops are so soft...they have so much cushion.
Then that night my mama and I went to one of her friend's CAbi party. CAbi stands for Carol Anderson by invitation. The website you can visit is: http://cabionline.com. All of the clothes for Spring 2008 are on there. Most of the clothes are expensive. They are nice but just about all the clothes were not for my age group I thought. My mama did end up buying me a shirt. Below is what it looks like (even though I got mine in black) which I got from the website:
So I'm ready to start wearing some of my new clothes!!! I'm thinking about ordering some dresses from online too from either Venus or Body Central. I love their clothes. Maybe I'll buy some this week. Shopping is fun and I love clothes.
Oh yeah....Happy Birthday Julie!!!!

Today I must tell myself that all these storms and rain will bring lots of pretty flowers! It has been raining since I woke up. Last night the thunder and rain kept waking me up. I went to bed around 11 p.m. and I woke up one time wondering what that noise was...come to find out it was the storm. It was thundering and lightning and it was pouring outside. I looked to see what time it was on my cell phone and it was only 12:50 a.m. Finally I went back to sleep. Then sometime right before3:30 a.m. I woke up again and jumped, my husband was like are you okay? I said yeah the rain woke me up I think. Not long after that my husband's alarm went off for him to get ready for work. When the alarm went off I jumped again. Once again my husband was like, "You going to be okay?" I said, "Yeah." Once he left I finally went back to sleep and thankfully didn't wake up until about 9:30 a.m. I don't know why the storm and rain scared me and woke me up. Usually I sleep fine. But the rain has not stopped at all. I haven't went anywhere yet today. I will be leaving in a couple of hours though. Here's what the weather forecast is for the rest of today predicted by wral.com:
Conditions will become right for later Saturday for more rain and storms. Low-level moisture and warm, unstable will continue to flow in from the South and interact with an upper-level trough and frontal boundary moving from the west throughout the day. "We do have a slight risk of severe thunderstorms, mainly over about the southeastern half of North Carolina from around the Triangle area south and east this afternoon and evening," Moss said. There is a slight risk of damaging wind gusts, large hail and perhaps isolated tornadoes. "Rainfall as we go through the next 24 hours as this system moves across the state, is indicated to be quite copious," Moss said. "The model's showing anywhere from about 1 to 2 inches of rain for a lot of us," he continued. "And within some of these narrow streaks and bands, some of us may end up with 2 to 3 inches before this thing's all the way over with."
Thankfully, tomorrow the rain will be gone. It rained just about all week so it'll be good to see no rain for a little bit. Then towards the end of the week it's supposed to get back in the 70's. YAY!! I really do hope these showers and storms bring lots of pretty flowers!!
Tomorrow night we're going to eat at Carrabba's. That restaurant is really good too. So I'm excited about that. I want to wish one of my good friends, Jessica a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Also, today is Amber's birthday, I met her on http://vertigomb.org so happy birthday Amber! Tomorrow is a BIG day in college basketball. My favorite team (the North Carolina Tar Heels) is playing against Kansas in the Final Four! I really hope they win, which I believe they will. My friend Jessica (whose birthday is today) is a big Tar Heels fan too so hopefully they'll win so it'll kinda be like a birthday present for her. I truly believe the Heels can win the whole thing this year. The only bad thing about winning it all is that it makes a bigger chance for players to leave to go to the NBA...for instance like Tyler Hansborough. But maybe no one will leave early. Keeping my fingers crossed!! Once again....Happy Birthday Jessica and Amber!

Last night my mama and a friend went and saw a show that was 45 minutes away from here. It was called, "Girls Night The Musical" written by Louise Roche and directed by Jack Randle. It was hilarious. The show is a musical comedy about some friends who relive the past on a wild night out at a karaoke club. At the beginning there's a girl that is an angel talking about how her daughter is now engaged so her old friends our throwing a bachelorette party for the daughter named Candy Rose. While they are waiting for her to show up they talk about the past and present and how things are different now. There are 5 people in the show. The angel's name is Sharon and her friends names are Liza, Carol, Anita and Kate. Kate is Carol's younger sister and she is all prim and proper at the beginning but as the night goes on she starts getting a little wild. Liza is married to a rich man and Anita is the crazy one. Sharon is there with them watching how things are going and makes comments on some things they say every now and then. The songs that they sang in the show were: At Seventeen, Cry Me A River, Don't Cry Out Loud, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Holding Out For A Hero, I Am What I Am, I'm Every Woman, I Say A Little Prayer, I Will Survive, Lady Marmalade, The Love Of My Man, Man I Feel Like A Woman, and We Are Family. The cast could definitely sing!!! They were so great. The show was about 2 hours long with a 15 minute intermission. One of the parts in the show was talking about how Liza just found out she was pregnant again with her 3rd or 4th child. The girls asked her how did she let that happen and Liza said that she just slipped and fell on it. Everyone in the audience busted out laughing. My mama is going back Sunday night with some other women we know. I haven't decided if I'm going to go again or not. I really did enjoy it last night though.
